Meet Our Leader
Rev. Craig A. Mathews is proudly serving as the District 1 Councilman for St. Mary Parish, and is the Senior Pastor of Hubbard United Church of Christ. Rev. Mathews holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and Management from Grambling State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration. With more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning both nonprofit and for-profit sectors, he has founded, led, and managed numerous organizations and businesses throughout his career.
Rev. Mathews and the District 1 Leadership Team are committed to restoring District 1. Some accomplishments of the leadership team are: infrastructure & safety improvements, technology upgrades, economic development, and quality of life improvements. Current goals for District 1 are to develop land for residential housing, attract more industries to the area, and permanent infrastructure.
